Here's my contribution for anyone who's interested! Sizing reference solely based on my personal experience since I have received my pair of Meermin, together with some Saphir supplies =:
I came to a decision of UK7.5 for my Meermin pair by trying on a pair of double monks in the Hiro last coupled with Luisa's recommendation. Many thanks to Joseph for allowing me to try on his pair of Meermins!
I'm wearing a US8E for Allen Edmonds Park Avenue(5 last) and a UK7.5 Meermin Classic Laced Oxford(Hiro last). Some fit description below.
AE pair was snug, both length and width(at the toe box) wise initially. Length felt a tad too short when standing straight and balanced on both feet. Cramps at toe joint and side of calf developed on the leg with the larger foot due to elevation of second toe caused by lack of space at the toe box. It was a torturous two weeks before the shoes expanded out nicely.
Meermins fits better upon receipt. Length wise feels comfortable. No digging into toes and they bear an almost non existence allowance of <5mm on both feet tightly laced. Width fit is snug with little excess and with all toes resting flat on the ground when standing straight and balanced on both feet. Overall happy with the fit. Will post a review after about two weeks of wear.
