The only shoecare product you need gloves for is leather dyes, they are bitch to remove once your hands are stained.

I think no one is stupid to eat their comestics or shoecare products, just need to keep them away from pets and very young children.

Thank you, bro. Not really 'so soon', cos I waited 2.5 months for this after judging the size wrongly. Just thought I should post them here, since I waited so long that I almost forgot about it.

Damage = $780 for MTO (I paid more to ship the original one back)

Gambling with size is painful, but at least I got this one right in the end. If anyone wants to listen, my advice is stick with one maker/brand.

Damn the velvet slippers are sweet. But a bit expensive for slippers ...

The leather look plasticky like the Samuel Windsor (goodyear welt but polish/smooth grain leather) which cost half the price.

Some of their "luxury calf leather" looks ok but not all. I notice from the photos the more expensive ones do look better in terms of leather quality.

The "premium leather" is ewww. Keep the money in your wallet bah.

I've got a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenues Size 9 E for sale. It's brand new, shipped in from US, tried on and found it's a tad too long for my feet.

For the Park Avenues, they are not really true to size.
The 5 last is slightly longer by 1/2 a size, or at least this is what I've noticed.

Unless your feet are exceptionally wide, 3E or 2E, you should drop 1/2.

my feet measured 9 E on the AE online size chart guide. apparently the 5 last is narrower and longer. I reckon I'd have to go with 8.5 for a nice fit.

I want to resole a pair of Bally bluchers and Cheaney oxfords and replace the rubber heels and install a toe tap on an Ed Et Al.

Masterfix quoted me $100 to replace rubber sole, $130 for leather. Heel replacement cost $30. They don't do toe taps.

Is that the standard price? The Cheaney may not be worth resoling at that price :/

7.5D us on no5 last. Left feet is good fit, right side a bit narrow.

Incidentally, i have the same issue right now. I have a 7.5E strand's that still too narrow. The 5 last is a real monster to get right if one has a meaty mid-foot.

width is ok on the left feet. right feet the widest part of the feet is very snug. i have uneven feet but for leather shoes i prefer a snug fit as they expand over time.

length wise is just nice, need shoe horn to squeeze into shoe.

for now only can wear thin dress socks. ribbed casual socks is a no-no.

the problem is my arch is quite high, if i tighten the shoe laces to let the gap close up it will be uncomfortable.
