I notice I have bad walking habit resulting in sole wearing off at an angle outwards, and also bottom tip of front get chipped off. Any ways to prevent or resolve them???

didn't shop shoes in SG, a norm yes they are crazy high price. not expecting sgd$400+ for J&M, usually here those regular usd$275 are made in Italy ones. others more in usd$200+. of course go outlet is crazy outlet price but buy 3 get 1 free deal.

If it's the usd275 made in italy ones that are marked sgd400+ at full retail, the mark-up is actually not unreasonable.

Just for comparison, loakes 1880 currently go for GBP209 (full retail including VAT) on websites but are sold at Robinsons for $499 (full retail).

i won't call it a bad habit. It's just the way you walk, and this sole-wearing pattern is fairly common (I believe it's over-pronation), including for myself.

In fact, I suspect people who wear out their soles evenly are the minority..

try going to the cobber
they will add a pcs of rubber sole (around $15) for additional protection

Have heard horror stories about such old uncle cobblers. I have no direct experience though. I dont think i will risk good shoes that way unless i know n seen actual work done by the cobbler..

So far i go to soleman at arcade and quite happy.

Chinatown old uncles sucks. Poor quality so don't expect anything more than average work for the price you pay. Cheap shoes ok, but not for the expensive shoes you guys having.

The markup for locales not much
J&M those shoes I doubt Italian made as I will see Italy on the soles. Usd$200 to sgd$470+ is more but with 50% it's a lot better

I wanted to patch the toe and change a new heel, but the boss says need an hour for whole job and I need to do and go. So I ended up fixing a new heel only, and it cost $19. Not that cheap imo...

I went to Sole-Mann at Arcade Lv 3 too.

$25 for front soles Vibram.
