I think Ed et Al quality went up since the 3rd collection (in line with price hike).

Last much better.
Leather better.
Sole also better.

(I have 4 pairs from 2nd collection and 1 from 3rd collection, so can tell the difference)

My pair from 3rd collection creases quite badly (relative to other brands i own of similar or slightly higher price points).

My Ed Et Al Primaute Peirce didn't crease badly after wearing quite a no. of times. The quality is definitely better than their $300 range.

Cannot prevent but can slow down with use shoe trees and don't 'ngeh ngeh' buy shoes that dont fit well

Resurrect the animal, probably a cow, then give it a healthy diet with lots of water. Try some SKII as well.

On the more extreme end, dandy shoe care can probably do some magic.

But now you need basic leather care first.

Wearing AEs to uni is going to attract a hell lot of attention, not for looks but the noise you make when you walk. Depending on your school, you will probably see lots of flip flops too.

Unless you are in biz or something.

maybe its just me, but I find the creases add sexiness to the shoes lor. Just like fadings on jeans, it shows the lifestyle of the wearer.

Some creases formed very nicely, some makes the shoes look deformed.

not too creased until there's cracks for me...it'll start looking dull and un-classy. gotta polish it regularly and care for the shoes!

I'm not from biz but from IT, i'll only be wearing the shoe on appropriate occasions like for work till Sept before Uni starts and presentations. There's other ways to get AE shoes instead of waiting for sales from Allen Edmonds. I gotten mine from ebay. This guy created a guide on buying AE on ebay.
