i've tried the C&J 348 last before. not sure if you've tried it but be forewarned that the last is long. noticeably long

Yeah. It's long and narrow. Looking at SF, there are certain parallels with the simpson last. I actually do size up for simpson. I thought about it for a good period of time and since I'm taking calf for the loafer .. decided to stick to uk 8.5
I'm crossing my fingers

From what i can recall, both the 348 and Simpson lasts seems to fit similar; though the C&J is longer.

I didn't try the other C&J lasts, prefer slightly more aggressive looking ones like the 2 below:

All I know is I wear a US8D in Wolverine 1000 Miles and Clarks Desert Boots, and recently bought an Edetal Duxton brogue off carousell in size eu40, uk7, us7.5 and it was too small. Figured that I would suit a eu41 from Ed's best.

I wanna get the Double Monks in Dark Brown which I've been reading is in the hiro last?? Any idea what size I should get, please help omg been having a headache all day researching for this lol

The Hiro last is a pretty generous last. Based on what you described, you sound like a 7.5

Measuring your feet then emailing Meermin directly will be good, but however I found contradicting measurement sizes between email correspondences and what's listed on their website.

Meermin's reply in my email correspondences (RON lasts):
L 264 mm insole 5.5UK
W 91 mm insole 5.5UK
L 272 mm insole 6.5UK
W 92 mm insole 6.5UK


Sizing listed on the Meermin's website (RON lasts):
L 260 mm insole 5.5UK
W 94 mm insole 5.5UK
L 268 mm insole 6.5UK
W 96 mm insole 6.5UK

It's advisable to try on the shoes physically with existing owners to get a gauge and feel before pulling the trigger. Good luck!

Meermin better in quality? I vaguely recall meermin has it made in China but finish in Spain
