I am not fully decided on the Dark Burgundy Split Toe GMTO yet.
I prefer a Dark Brown version. But most of the folks there opted for a Dark Burgundy with Green Lining, and leather soles.

Regarding Shell GMTO, this is what i read from SF. Not a first hand account.

No idea about the black shell jumper...... sounds military.....

I think e width suits me more!

I tried putting the shoe on with the lace removed, it's still pretty hard.
I'll get myself a shoe horn and see how it goes.

Mine was hard to wear in the beginning as well.. But after months of wearing, I guess the leather expanded a little making it easier to slip on with laces loosened.. Shoe horn will help as well..

Got my Loake Cannons from Herring - ordered on Wed afternoon and got them on Fri. Fit was actually great for me even though they are supposed to run a little large. Seeing as how my only other experience with decent shoes are a pair of Massimo Duttis (oxfords in size 42) it felt like a bit of gamble. But all's good! Cheers

Can i check if the Saphir wax is a 'gift' from Herring or a separate purchase from Herring? I am asking because normally Herring throw in a free wax with each shoe purchased. But the brand changes over time. I was wondering if they are now fully switched to Saphir for the gift as well. Thanks.

The saphir is my own! They did throw in a herring wax + a mini shoe horn !
