Their shoes are cemented?

I believe so. U can visit their website.

For people who would otherwise buy from pedro, rad russell, aldo, i would suggest archules for consideration.

Note that i have no experience nor affiliation with them but based purely on info avail on their website, i find them a better value proposition amongst the other brands mentioned which imho believe to broadly be in the same category.

At the very least, they present classic shoe designs that seem to be sorely lacking amongst the cemented shoes options avail locally.

Was eying this shell loafer ... but it cost HKD 5,900. Additional 30% to change colour to Royal blue.

will be heading to US soon, looking to get a solid pair of oxfords and maybe others. anywhere i can find shops retailing them? only know AE is being sold afforadably there

Alden, Johnson and Murphy, Cole Haan, Florshiem and Rockport i heard all quite good. For AE i would suggest u could go to their outlet store in the link below to check it out.

ShoeBank - Allen Edmonds Factory Outlet

Oxford wise for AE in terms of being famous will mostly properly be 5th Avenue or Park Avenue.

Nope, totally can't find it elsewhere online. In fact, I first fall in love with it from here. But only left with UK 11.5. :(

Carmina Shoemaker Full Strap Penny Loafer in Navy Shell Cordovan – Gentlemens Footwear

Uetam Last
5748a_grande.jpg

Since we are on the topic of full strap penny loafers...
A group of buddies and I have a potential gmto for a Carmina full strap penny.
Model 80372 (as shown in navy cordovan by Darkalley)
Last: Uetam (fits like simpson)
In polo suede (photos available on skoaktie)
There are currently 5 interests. Though the sole is not decided yet. It can either be single dainite or single leather. The 6th man's choice of the sole will decide it.
Anyone interested?

I would like to be the sixth if you don't mind.
Single leather sole is my preference.
Thanks!

I am looking for something similar to that makeup but in green suede :)

How are you going about doing this MTO? Direct with Carmina or through their partners like skoaktie/KBKS etc.?

I've not done MTO shoes before, so pardon the novice question but just how customizable are the options? Can you like get a pair in different sides to accommodate differently sized feet?

Level of customisation varies from brand to brand but the baseline is usually a fixed shoe model (ie design n last). Variations can then come in form of the colour, material, sole type, possibly detailings like broguing.

Diff size wise, never ask, never know, i dun see why not personally.

Hi, that's a good question, I've always wondered if you could do a mis-matched pair (size wise) to accomodate for different sized feet. Theoretically, it should be possible. Allinaday has answered the rest of your question pretty well. But for Carmina, you might not be able to choose the last for the model of your choice, not like you can with Vass. And, depending on how big of a prick you are dealing with, he might reject your MTOs because your colour choice is "just too unpredictable", "what is light? what is dark?". Certain fags also cannot handle words like "hue" and "tone". It is better to spell something out clearly, like "Polo suede".

We are doing this GMTO with skoaktie
Price is 2880 SEK, I am trying to negotiate for free shipping based on size of the order (sko ships free once 8000 SEK is exceeded). SEK is pretty much at an all time low.
Other possible choices are gfw, but less feasible due to the strong USD. Doing a liaison with Carmina direct is also possible though I'm sure they will charge for shipping, and I personally, would not like to deal with Betty, if I can help it.

As for KS, I would rather be drawn and quartered, castrated and fed my own genitals than have anything to do with them.

Carmina still offers FREE shipping for orders above 250 Euros but unsure if that constitute GMTO orders. However, you may want to drop them an email to enquire further before finalising.

Anyway, if I may ask, why the intense resentment and abhorrence towards KS? Hah.

Wow! The markup in HK abit high right? That's about double Carmina's own price and nearly 90% more than the polo suede GMTO!

I also found it in Taipei's Oak Room too (cheaper than Armoury after SF discount but the markup is still appreciable) but OOS for my size :(

That polo suede GMTO is starting to look really attractive...

How much is the SF discount?

If the shoes are billed in TWD, price might even narrow down. :o

K, I hope I selected your preference :)
Are you going to toe-cap it?

Was leaning towards Tomir but leather is fine ! Thundermarch is checking with Skoak on the toe-taps.

This is a good time for me to publicly thank Thundermarch for organising the GMTO; thanks dude ! A round(or 5) of drinks is definitely in order.

We're aware of the FREE shipping offer but most of us involved in the GMTO prefer working with Gabriel from Skoaktiebolaget.
