My journey evolved from:
1. Normal cemented shoes from Ecco & Florsheim.
2. Shoes on sales (Herring etc)
3. Ed et al
4. Carmina
5. Meermin MTO
6. Carmina GMTO
7. Next up: thinking of Edward Green or Enzo Bonafe....

Never ending quest....

You missed out Bally, TOD, Ferragano and LV.

Wherw would you think that Bally Ferragamo TODs and LV would fit in his list?

Sent from the exploded Death Star using GAGT

Bally Scribe and Ferragamo Tramezza are both respectable lines; goodyear-welted as well - I thought I'd mention that since that seems to give some people here hard-ons.

Tod's have pretty good "airport" loafers, if nothing else. They are also the go-to loafer brand for the CEO of Sotheby's; whom, despite always looking like he's just there to fag around, is undeniably more stylish than most of us can ever hope to be.

It's easy to jump on the hate train when you see a big brand being mentioned, but it's also kinda stupid. Just sayin'.

The folks who like to buy and wear nice shoes will not stop just a few pairs.

In correct.

I have a custom pair of shoes from Edetal, looking forward to making a pair of bespoke shoes when my wallet allows it.

It is unlikely that I will keep buying shoes, because you can easily repair shoes or resole them.

Or maybe it's just me, but I find buying new shoes and clothes a hassle. Invest in quality not quantity.
