Worth to upgrade to ssd?

Hi,
like to seek opinion on whether i is it worth to upgrade my laptop Asus F9Sg hdd to ssd?

If i am not wrong its on SATA I interface.

worried that there might not be much of difference between ssd and hdd when used with SATA I interface

With sata 1, speed is limit to 150mb/s.
With sata 2, speed is limit to 300mb/s.

One of my rig is using sata 2 interface, so limit today SSD performance.

But normal computing usage, can't feel the difference.
The number is clear in benchmark testing.

I am a user who benefited from a SSD upgrade in a laptop.

Definitely, especially boot up times, loading of applications, etc. The list goes on.

would getting a msata ssd with a adapter to 2.5" be better? since it can be used in laptop with msata slot should i change my laptop?

seems like i should go ahead and get the plextor m5 pro and give the mSata's one a miss.

anyway i can jus clone the current hdd os partition into the ssd right?
or better to reinstall everything?

do you have extra space in the laptop for msata ssd? If you have, get the msata ssd, and keep your current hdd. use your msata ssd for windows and other important programs, and your normal hdd for others + data

my current laptop does not have msata. was thingking of using a adapter for msata to 2.5" so that in the future i can jus use the msata on new laptop with msata but now i think i will scrap that idea.

Even with SATA version 1, I think an upgrade to SSD will make a huge difference in terms of performance. The beauty of it is not so much the transfer rate, but rather the response/ access time. Your typical mechanical 5400rpm drive may have a response time of north of 18ms, while a typical good SSD have 0.1ms. The difference is noticeable in terms of windows and application start up.

yes. at most use a cupboard to return you with the height.

cage dependent. Some cage can some cannot. I can't tell you for sure.
