Anyway, just did the RMA with Convergent and collected the HX1200 (no more AX1200i). Rather surprised to get a brand new set when my PSU was nearly 9 years old. Convergent offered the RMA about two weeks back but I was trying to get Corsair to repair my AX1200i instead.

Looks like I will still be using Corsair :D
Any different between ax1200 via Hx1200 ?

AX1200i to HX1200 is a downgrade right? I recall the former cost quite a bit more.

Yeah, it's a downgrade which was why I wanted to get the AX1200i repaired instead. The AX1200i and HX1200i were both EOL and this was the best available.

OTOH since I got a brand new PSU, count it as a win!

I should mention that the AX1200i was probably responsible for taking out a big chunk of my system.

SX8200 Pro - RMAed
Ryzen 7 3700X - in the process of RMA

BOTH of my Gigabyte AX 370 Gaming K7 went to MB heaven (one completely dead and the other unable to boot) and no more warranty

which is why I always say that the PSU is the one component we should never skimp on.
