Corsair is now on my blacklist.

To be clear, I have no issues with the local distro, Convergent. However, dealing with Corsair US tech support nearly gave me an aneurysm.

For PSU? haha

They have quite a few models with some issues, but RMx, I think not on the list.

I owned the HX1200 in my main rig and SF750 in my itx case.
The SF750 can pump Rtx 3080 Ti and 12700k no issue and cable mod easy to buy.

Lol, anyway his Intel 9th gen can feel laggy already.
should upgrade Intel 12400 and Msi b660m-a pro wifi ddr4 or Amd 5600x with Msi b550m pro wifi.
Current his specs for gtx 1660 ti still sufficient for voltron 600 gold.
Because my previous 10th gen 10700k very laggy when launching games, after went to Intel 12400 totally different feels.

I do not think 9700K will be laggy now. It should get most job done without any issue.

I was using 10700F but i did not face any lag when launching games (Genshin, AC7 etc).

My gpu that time still in Rtx 2080 Fe, after changed new mobo ROG z690 extreme and 12700k still used back with Rtx 2080 fe, the performance like hell and heaven
Even tho play genshin impact from 1440p monitor, can feel the performance lag.

Not everyone can afford to do that. And not everyone 9/10/11 gen will feel laggy/sluggish like you mentioned.

Of cos there are the "depend on usage" scenario. But end of the day, there is only so much one can afford to spend too.

Really depends on game and that game genshin impact isn't a intensive game.

I don't know man. I generally find dealing with any tech support to be a sad experience. Like the last tech support I reached out to was Asrock. It is very clear they are just providing me scripted response that clearly don't address the problem. In the end, I managed to stumble upon the solution after trying many times.

This is the worst recommendation man. Locally, it cost a bomb just because of the brand. If yo are talking about the new Thor II, that's more than 500 bucks for a PSU that don't natively support the new 12 pin PSU power. And the LED display is pointless. Might as well just get a Seasonic 1000W which is about 300+ without all the fluff of the Thor II which is also made by Seasonic with minor and cosmetic customization on their own.

Generally sub 100 bucks PSU are non-modular or semi-modular to keep cost low. Other than aesthetics, it is generally a non-issue. There are some rare cases where due to space constraints, a modular PSU may help make the installation easier.

Brands like Aftershock use FSP PSU for their builds, FSP PSU are cheap but whether is it good

I feel they will be fine as long as the parts don't require high power. I've used FSP SFX PSU before, and the most recent one was a SFX PSU which is decent. Only complain I read online is the fan that can run loud under heavy load. However, it was whisper quiet to me since I paired with an APU.

I feel u can just upgrade the GPU will do. If u r using Sata SSD, change to Nvme SSD...u will notice the diff.

Anyway, just did the RMA with Convergent and collected the HX1200 (no more AX1200i). Rather surprised to get a brand new set when my PSU was nearly 9 years old. Convergent offered the RMA about two weeks back but I was trying to get Corsair to repair my AX1200i instead.

Looks like I will still be using Corsair
