i bought 2 x Intel Xeon E5-2608L v3 CPUs for USD $800 for my server from eBay.

the seller sent me 2 x Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3 CPUs instead.

URL : http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SR/SR1XP.html

the seller finally realize their mistake after 2 weeks and they now kept sending me messages in eBay and ask me to ship the CPUs back to them in California and they will replace them and shipped me the Intel Xeon 2608L v3 CPUs instead.

should i ship the CPUs back to them or should i ask them to honor their mistake instead...i really don't feel like taking out the Intel Xeon 2680s from my server now to be honest...:D:D:D

Do remember that the Ebay seller has some of your personal information since you were in contact with him. It could be your email address, or something else so that he could keep pestering you these past weeks.

And the more important fact is that he is not bound by Singapore law. So if he tracks your digital footprints and cyber-attacks you, it's yours to lose.

My advice is to return the goods back to him for the correct chips and settle the matter. But if you think that keeping the 'upgraded' chip is better and you create a thread here to flaunt that you have done it, so be it...

hiring professionals to attack TS will cost 10s if not hundreds of thousands.. worst case kena blacklist from ebay... I dont think they will go to that extend.

They need not go to the extent. All they need to do is to request ebay for all the personal infos of him.

Ebay can only remove him from ebay. And yes personal attacks can still be done.

Anyway its up to ts to decide. But a good man will own up and return. Thats all.

U forgot that the internet out there is much deeper than the World Wide Web that u r currently using to post this comment... :D

There is no need to hire people to attack. If the seller just happens to be in the hacking sphere, he can easily gather fellow hackers over the Tor network or other untrackable VPN networks. And when there is a common interest at stake, there is no need to 'hire' people using money.

Come on.. I was scammed in Ebay before... Ask ebay to release info? U wait long long.. no court order nothing u think they will entertain u? So simple to hack, all the banks can close shop already. Btw TS gain is too small to put an effort also. Very very high chance they will just waive it off..

Btw if seller soooo good at hacking decided to sell 2nd hand hardware in ebay?? :s11:

Serious too many kia si ppl ard..:s22:
