Help!
I updated my number with Standard Chartered Bank half a year ago and the agent promised he would update it in the system.
Then the last couple of months, I made payments but don't recall if SCB received it as a there were a couple of times that I had to pay twice a month because they did not receive the first time.
I key in the number of my Credit Card since I cut the card in front of a customer service officer because they charge me late fees and refused to waive it even though I made payment on the spot when I realized I did not pay for that month.
And then today I received a WOS!
I called SCB immediately and the CSOs said they cannot do anything as the team that handles it closes at 4pm!
What happens next and what can I do to avoid the next steps or court?

you mention you have made payment, its full payment or just min payment? Do you have any record of your payment?

Have you cancel your card? don't quite understand:s11: have you pay the full amount on the spot?

on offense:o next time you should ensure that the payment get through. There was once i made internet transfer, it did not get through. i only realized after a few days when i check my account. Lucky it did not transfer to anyone with the wrong account number. :D

I recommend you to call SCB again. If i am not wrong you do not have much time should you wish to file for defense. Do find someone with legal knowledge for this case.

maybe you can scan the summons for us to see. most of us haven't seen one before and it will be useful to learn such things.

and can you confirm that SCB never send you warning letters and reminders before? just one day kenna summoned? Or they send you and you ignore?
