Recently bought RAM from simlim, didn't know it was not compatible until i used crucial compatibility tool... Currently it is working fine but is it ok to continue?

RAM i bought: 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V 1024Meg x 64, CT102464BF160B from Crucial.com

RAM crucial recommended: 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V upgrades for Aspire 4750G Laptop/Notebook, CT5492170 from Crucial.com

my laptop is acer aspire 4750G

4750G can "unofficially" work with 16GB RAM.
So no need to worry.
If you are not facing any bluescreen issues (memory dump), there is nothing for you to worry.

Ok and another question, can I use my old ram (2gb Kingston) with this crucial 8gb ram?

EDIT: I tried putting in the old 2gb ram into the other ram slot but when I press the power button to on my laptop, there is nothing on the screen, no bios or anything, only power light on...
