Welsh alternative rock band Stereophonics is coming to town.

Upon the release of their sixth studio album "Pull the Pin" in October 2007, Stereophonics became only the eighth group to achieve 5 consecutive UK number 1 albums (after The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ABBA, Genesis, Oasis, Blur and U2).

The band has also released their latest album "Graffiti on the Train" in March.

Wanna hear Stereophonics perform "Indian Summer", "We Share The Same Sun", "Maybe Tomorrow", "The Bartender And The Thief", "Local Boy In The Photograph" and their other hits next Wednesday evening?

First released in March 1997, "Local Boy In The Photograph" was the first single from Welsh band Stereophonics. It eventually peaked at #14 on the UK charts in February 1998.

In an interview in 2010, Stereophonics lead vocalist Kelly Jones said that "Local Boy In The Photograph" was based on the true story of local boy Jamie, who was killed by a train travelling between two towns in Wales (Cwmbach and Aberdare).

Following the death of former Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable, a campaign was launched on Facebook to get the song to Number 1 in the UK charts. On 13 June 2010, it re-entered the UK charts at #60.

Wanna watch Stereophonics perform "Local Boy In The Photograph" and their other hits on Wed 14 August?

My tickets are still available.

"Maybe Tomorrow" is a single from the Stereophonics 2003 album "You Gotta Go There to Come Back". It peaked at #3 on the UK Singles Chart in July 2003.

The song was also used as the opening theme of the movie "Wicker Park" (2004) and was played during the ending credits of the Academy Award-winning movie "Crash" (2004).
