The file manager works on both the iPhone and iPad.

There is a file app on my iphone running iOS 11 beta

but the older ipad pro 12.9" can also perform the same tasks if upgrade the iOS?

Definitely. People online with iPad Air 2 said it worked for them as well.

The 10.5 inch iPad and other hardware that Apple announced isn’t available for demo just yet.

But only certain hardware can be purchased at the Apple Orchard Road. No guarantee on that.

dude just do a search on YouTube. many reviews of iOS 11 beta1. File app is available on iPhone too...

the price difference between the iPad 9.7 2017 and iPad Pro is quite big. Not sure which one suits my need.
Likely to use it for entertainment purposes such as watching videos, browser and apps.
Also decent thick case for iPad 9.7 2017 is difficult to find too.

I'm not sure if this can be done but, maybe iPad Air cases can fit the 9.7 inch? Since the thickness is the same.

Speakers are not aligned. Camera bump behind also cannot fit. Theres LED flash too on the pro.

He's saying iPad 9.7 2017 so I'm assuming it's the 5th gen?

Yes, Files works on iPhone and you can hold and add more selections. Can transfer to other apps from the app switcher interface.
