was asked by someone to build this.
instead I told him to wait for Threadripper Gen2 which will be releasing soon.
But he still insist of having it.
Setup must be MSI or others. Not Asus since he had bad experience with em.

am looking at this setup

- msi x299 gaming pro cabon AC + i9 7960x
- msi 1080 ( told him to wait for 1180 )
- for ram Im not too sure
- PSU corsair RMi 1000X
- ssd and 3.5 harddrive
- AIO cooler

Not too sure why he needs that 16core/32threads. But he said something like running bleach, maya and some unreal stuff.

am still sticking to my opinion on waiting TRG2 and waiting for 1180 cards.
would you still build it. If so ... what would you recommends? ... thanks

For OC SLX CPU > 10c/20t, I suggest the following MB:

Asus - Rampage VI Extreme, Apex, Strix XE
Giga - Designare Ex, Aorus Gaming 9, Gaming 7 Pro
MSI - Xpower Gaming AC
Asrock - Fatal1ty Professional Gaming i9 XE, OC Formula, Taichi XE

:D

Get TR now and later drop in upgrade to TR2. Since no new board comes with TR2.
