Hi,

I'm planning to switch to Ryzen 5600x cpu for gaming and some light works. I'm looking at X570 Motherboards but I don't know which Mobo to get so I require some recommendations. My budget is between $800-$1000 including CPU.

Thank you in advance.

So you mean your budget for CPU + Mobo is between S$800 to S$1000?

Can look at b550 since it’s also compatible . One of the better ones is the Msi unify b550

if you have PIC-e cards other than the X16 slot which u would like to utilise 4.0, then X570 boards would be nice, else B550 is enough.

Thank you very much!

Between the B550 and X570, the main diff is only PCIe-4 lanes right?

MSI MAG x570 Tomahawk Wifi

$309 standalone. Easily as good as any $500+ boartd. Amazing v-ram cooling/performance , Wifi, BT, 2.5gbe lan. PCI-E 4, usb-C, everything you will ever want to power a 5600x.

I got mine from Bizgram 2 weeks ago, flashed it and popped my 5600x in, worked like a dream. And you claim Assasins Creed Valhalla with MSI promo ;)

Damn I just purchased AC Valhalla, Thanks for the recommendation. I was looking at this particular Mobo too due to the price. For the X570 Mobo you still need a bios reflash?

Edited: Seems like I found another TS comparing between the 2 Mobo. But thank you for your replies.

Ya. For my case, I minimalist, so i dun have any PCI-e cards. But i just like the look of the ROG strix X570-i haha...

Btw, for X570 mobos, please ask the seller if it has the latest bios. There are earlier batches which of course they want to clear stocks.

I see, so it's a matter of "future-proof" mobo vs current times mobo.

Yep, its really easy.
Got an old 4gb flash disk - formatted it with RUFUS to fat32. copied the bios file. plugged it into the port that says "FLASH BIOS". Pressed the button and it was done in about 5 mins I did the flash completely bare, as in all i plugged into the board was the ATX power cable and the CPU power cable, nothing else on it, no ram, no cpu.

I followed this guys video.

No bah... if u go google and u will find the 5600X (6 core) is the best gaming CPU. It's all over the internet.

Oh wow :s13::s13::s13: With that said, games now still doesn't utilize much on the cores of the CPU right?

May I ask, why is reflashing of the bios required?

Like you said, it was also what I read too. Basically, that's what made me wanna do the switch over to Red. I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 right now and all the 4 cores in my intel chip is running at 100%.
