Moi find the difficulty of the new expansion seem to have increased a lot. Was struggling to clear each mission without death. Maybe will just up pop cheat engine to cut down the unnecessary stress and rage instead, as no longer young, the stress and rage ish good to the heart for uncles moi age. :(

Yah...uncle here too, I am playing Rookie mode, it still not that easy, need to do multiple save to clear without death.

Some points to share:

1) Build the Resistance Ring asap: It lets you manage covert actions. When you connect with resistance factions more missions unlock that give you scientists, engineers, supplies and intel and it's a good way to give a soldier a free promotion, you can also use the covert actions to reduce AVATAR progress.

2) Research Armor in highest priority, weapon next. This will make your troops harder to get killed in missions. Keep all the Elerium Core to build advanced armor later, very limitted resource.

3) Ignore Avatar progress if your troop is not strong enough, use covert action mentioned in point 1 to reduce the progress.

4) Kill the chosen asap when your have good armors and weapons, the longer you drag, the more they appear in your missions, very annoying, the only good thing for killing them in missions is they give you 5 Ability Points.

I last played XCOM2 and completed the Legendary version but not the Long War 2. Really tough if bo cheat. So end up never complete. Just started WOTC on Commander level. Still at the introduction to the Reaper and Skirmisher walk through.

Somehow, does XCOM2 needs a very high end GPU to run? I am of course trying to run at the highest video settings possible and my GPU is the old GTX 980TI. Back then doing field quests during XCOM2 were on and off laggy. On WOTC, it still lag a bit though I just completed my first Haven quest and it lagged and lagged with Bradford speaking like a faulty CD. LOL.

Used to play on GTX680 (can't remember which setting) was lagging on loading in/out of combat, other than that not much.

Moi recently replaced moi old computer as it up lorried (always just nice once warranty out will kaput one) so ish able to enjoy the game on a 1080 graphic card. So far go good with Xcom2 on the highest setting.

However when praying back the Xcom1 there are still some stages that will crash even on this new graphic card. (like the first alien base assault) Reducing the graphic quality doesn't help at all, 100% the crash to desktop one. End up have to low the resolution to 1280x800 or somewhere around there then can pray those stages probably without crashing. Maybe it's a bug. :(

Was planning a eGPU though the review is ePGU can only get around 80-90% of the actual desktop equivalent so that drops my idea :D

Yup, sure got draw back, but I prefer to reuse my Macbook Air 11, gaming notebook is too heavy and bulky for me.

Still surprised that till nao they ish not coming out with more sexpansion and DLC to milk us. Have been rumored that there is supposed to be a new sexpansion in development and to be release this year, maybe this kind of lobang ish a hint that the next new sexpansion ish on the way liao.
