Miui can use 3rd party launcher? Thought cannot Liao? The launcher cannot permanently in the background.. n some features cannot use or it will trigger back stock launcher

Hi all, I bought the 13 Ultra China set yesterday and have been using it. The seller installed Google Playstore for me and because I actually use quite a lot of Chinese apps, it is good that there is the MI store existing side by side. I was using local version of Oppo Reno 8 previously. Transferring to the 13 Ultra was relatively easy, not much pain. However, I am having trouble backing up the phone.

Does Google One not work on the China ROM? if that is the case, how do folks using Xiaomi chinese ROM back up their phones? Thanks!

Scratch that, after a few resets, it magically worked (not sure why or how) so I guess yes, Chinese ROM can still back up to Google!

GPay works perfectly. Added cards and used for PayWave transactions without a problem. My other number is used for my banking apps so I didn’t try. I did successfully manage to get SingPass working on the phone too but since only one number is eligible for binding with the account, I changed it back to my other (main) number.

All in all I’m really enjoying the phone!

You mean Monmar? I don’t know; am waiting for another China phone from them. Been 8 days and still waiting. Some of the other shops same price and had ready stock for 13u so I went with another one also ordering 12 months warranty for “non human damage”.
