Xiaomi 13, 14 and 15 Ultra all look very similar...

All China flagship camera focus phones look similar. Because you can't beat physics. There's only this much space in a smartphone to squeeze in that many sensors of similar size (Give or take, now some use bigger secondary sensors and reduces the main sensor size down to make space) Sharp Aqous R9 pro(though brand is Japanese but now owned by Foxconn which is Taiwanese) also same desgin large center camera island.

personally think physics is not the issue here

can take a look at internal layout of xiaomi 13 ultra and 14 ultra, there is no need to have a circular camera bump

personally would like xiaomi to go back to a square or rectangular camera bump [if u remember mi11 ultra], that would prevent wobbles when phone is placed on a table, also make it easier for finger to "rest", when holding the phone

would still prefer circular, looks more like camera, ease to find attachments. also circular shape will allow more space for wide angle lens. those days rectangle shape not so much problem when lens aren't that wide.

Both made good points, but the circular trend on Chinese flagships is certainly here to stay. Even on Oneplus phones meant for international markets it's circular island albeit it's offset 😅. Maybe that's, why apple moving to the bar setup as what Caterham7 mentioned it does give less wobble even for that "Cyclops" bar across, but the renders and leaks so far for the iPhone slim or future iphones of that camera bump bar looks horrendous especially given apple devices sleek look track record lol.

Do note that some xiaomi models, global version has different battery compared to china version. E.g. Redmi Note 14 series and Poco X7 Pro (redmi turbo 4)

We shall see this time round. China 15 ultra releasing after CNY. Global 15 series including ultra shortly after during MWC...
