Just a quick update that Q10 came back and said no 1-2-1 replacement as my monitor had defects on the 8th day. If within 7 days, then can replace.
Delivered on Jan 18; defect on Jan 25 (8th day). So, have to wait for service

Anyway, I bought new monitor already. Will give the xiaomi to my son.

Anyway, CASE asked me if I wanna pursue......

Just suay, thats all

I really doubt q10 will do 1 to 1 even within 7 days.
case just waste time.......

previously, they give used set as replacement set.

Is the official warranty worth it? Still thinking if it's worth the 50% premium.

Wait for big promo lor, iirc official lowest was at ~488-538 after major coupon+flashdeal discounts which is around 20% premium. Generally speaking the quality of the monitor if without defect/repairing required is well worthed $500-600 value as compared to other brands

Vivo v001 is quite good. Using on my g34wqc which is heavier than xiaomi one I think. North bayou arm also okay.

Try to find a cable which the displayport side is not a long connector which Makes it impossible to close the cover behind the monitor. I couldn't find any and cannot use the cover.

do share if you manage to find it.

Hi just wondering if anyone tried with freesync on this monitor. I came from a 100 Hz monitor and the freesync worked fine with a 97 fps hard cap using RTSS.

On this monitor I can see that the free sync is working, at 144 hz and a frame cap at 141 FPS, However, it seems jittery at times minor tearing still seems to be visible at times. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here

FreeSync works well with my setup. At least I've not experience any tearing or jitters in games or in some of the benchmarks I ran.

Bought from a similar link like yours minihelpersg or something.
But i paid like extra $39 bucks for extended warranty or something not sure if it helped.

Owned for about 1 month plus to 2 months.

Personally find it ok. level backlight bleed is still acceptable to me.
Just that if you view from the sides meaning almost 180 degrees angle it might look hideous.

For productivity work wise, i find it quite good.

I think it is worth to have at least some form of warranty (even for a short while) in case of DOA. For example, if I get from MiniHelper and the screen is faulty when I first use it, at least I can ask them to replace. Whether they give me a new one because my unit is new, I am not sure. But imagine if you buy from Ezybuy and the item turns out faulty/ broken, you are pretty much on your own.

Anyone who saw/got this model can share their experience?

I tried searching googling if anyone carrying it but nothing comes up.

Sent from HUAWEI HMA-L29 using GAGT

Yes I used to own it after reading raving reviews online and its very attractive price point. But sold it after just 3 weeks.
Why? I began to experience eye strain, neckache and nagging headaches just after one day of use. Was wondering why. The I began to search the product website and discovered it might not be truly PWM-free.
On their product website https://www.mi.com/global/monitor34/
It says:
--------------------
Low blue light, no visible flicker*
*No visible flicker means that under normal operating conditions no flickering can be seen with the naked eye.

----------------------
I am not sure what they mean by "no flickering can be seen with the naked eye". Such PWM flickering can rarely be seen by the naked eye anyway. So their statement is a moot claim. But the brain still picks up the flicker and this leads to undesirable consequences like eye strain and headaches. There are incidents where people can be affected by flickering at very high frequency >10kHz.
rtings hasn't done a review on this monitor yet. So good luck!

Just curious , did you replace it with another 34in ultrawide? issues gone?

Cause ultrawide tends to make people turn their neck often if the monitor is too close to them and they put content to the edges of left and right thus causing the issues you mentioned.

Personally never encountered same issue as you. but it is not my main monitor, it is a supporting monitor I put on top of my main monitor.

In fact, before the Xiaomi, I was using another ultrawide (LG34UC79G 144Hz IPS 34") which was only 1080p. Been using it for more than 3 years with no issue though it is only 1080p.
I cannot confirm the problem with the Xiaomi monitor lies with PWM flicker. It could be the the glare handling which may be subpar compared to the LG one. Or it could be due to my eyes not getting used to a VA panel. After my Xiaomi monitor, I replaced it with an IPS 1440p flat panel which doesn't give me as much eye strain. In retrospect, I think I shouldn't have sold my LG monitor despite it being an old model. I can now truly appreciate it was a very good monitor for long hours of usage without eye strain.
