The preinstalled apps are Guang mang , youku, cloudtv demo, etc.

$85 for a xiaomi mini is not really cheap. If you get local taobao agent to buy for you, it is about $60. Or $50 if you get it from taobao youself. All prices including home delivery.

I just got this 2 days ago and have been reading like at least 50 pages here. Too much info. My guang mang yesterday night suddenly find out 1 astro channel (2 days ago got 3). Anyone has this issue? Do I need to re-install anything?

Also, I went to Shafa to update the YouKuXL and when I go in to try to watch all the movie become trial install of full version. Am I doing something wrong?

I should say forget abt this Mini...

I can only think of 1 reason for it's design-maybe for frequent travellers.

Then again, if u r a frequent traveller(stay hotel all the times), u should know what kinda Wifi speed/bandwidth the hotel can provide...

I Could be wrong but if shipping comes from HK via DHL and takes 2 weeks to get here, most likely the same seller.

I read thru some of their reviews, where some say watching EPL/Live TV will lag. Other than that is the seller service not good (which apparently sellers are badmouthing each other).

Thus to the pro here, any recommend seller? And what should i look out for? Etc?

Requirement
- Watch EPL
- Watch Live TV channels (Taiwan/HK/SG)
- Movie Channels (Wei Shi Dian Ying, HBO, etc)

Since u mentioned u r newbie, I will just assume u r new to both "TV Box" n the "Paid Service".

Maybe u wanna google n find out more about "TV Box" before even decide on a Xiaomi Box.

Pls correct me if i am wrong...

The TV Box is just a device that contain the android apps (movie/games/browser), and one of it is the "Paid Service" app. So once i got the TV Box and the Paid Service app installed, i can just subscribe to the paid services and enjoy the Live TV channels.

Ok, some apps can set to auto launch if the apps support it.

For ur case, Xiaomi Remote Control does not come with a number pad, so u can't do that...

I just bought the Mi Box 4K from rakuten.

Any app for watching fox movies, hbo, etc.? I Browse through the facebook forum and found these as suggestions: HDPtv and TVAPP.

TVApp doesn't work on Mi Box, as for HDPtv it's all in Chinese and i don't understand.
Does HDPtv have movies channel?

I browse through the channels in HDPtv, mostly are local chinese channels. No national geographic, discovery channel, fox movies, hbo, etc.
