Xiaomi home webcam camera

Hi All,

I’m starting to consider to replace my home Ipcam with Xiaomi cams. There are so so many Xiaomi Yi Danang etc etc models and I’m totally confused. I understand “global” version is for local SG usage so that we can use the Xiaomi global app instead of the china app.

How do i know which are all the cameras which are global versions?

I saw there was a hack to allow for my 3rd party IP app to view the Xiaomi apps via RSTP or some protocol.
Anyone tried it?

Anyone else can share their experience? Like connectivity stability, recording of audio and video on SD card, privacy (? Whether Xiaomi security is lacking), reliability, etc etc.

I'm a user of the xiaomi 360 cam. It's fantastic and really easy to setup and use with the xiaomi home app. Fantastic day/night picture quality. Bought from lazada.

Image quality and stability are great. Security is so-so. Can also consider HiSense.

I'm using 2 Xiaomi webcam to supplement my existing ip cameras (Outdoor Hikvision with 24/7 recording). One was gotten from Courts and the other from Lazada. The Lazada one (IMLAB Home Security Camera) has additional features (e.g. baby crying detection, move tracking).

I have not tried the RSTP hack you mentioned as I usually view Xiaomi webcam through its native app. Video quality is pretty good, though playing off sdcard via wifi can have a bit of lag.
