Hmm... Can't apply to unlock bootloader? As in back in the days, need 14 days to xm unlock?
No more?

Hey guys looking to pick up a mi 11. I just want a snapdragon 888 phone that has Google play store and a good camera so I think this fits the bill. Don't really mind the slower updates on the local or global ROM but I don't want the hassle to reflash etc, as long as I have all access to GMS, I'm happy. Also looking for one with seamless warranty so no export sets for me.

I've seen some on carousell with 1 year local warranty that has a EIN sticker on the box, is that the most official version? Because I also see some sellers with 2 year mi shop warranty so what's that about. Or should I just buy from the lazmall on lazada? Any recommendations or links, greatly appreciated!

If you just want the normal mi 11, i think you buy from official stores safer
Right now courts got discount + free gifts (for some reason HWZ always show me this ad), so slightly more value than lazada/shopee. Carousell really is lottery on what you get

But most here waiting for mi 11U local release, or at least for its price to be announced

U can consider the oppo find X3 pro too. It's selling for about 1100 to 1200 ish. Or alternatively the oneplus 9 pro at 1069 qoo10 when there's coupons.

Just updated my local set mi 11 to global version 12.0.9 via local update. everything seems ok.

Note: at first boot stuck in AOD only. Going to recovery mode wipe data and everything is ok. Need to setup everything again though.

My advice, wait for OTA update. Don't local update or else your data will be wiped.

we are the first country they entered internationally though lol

Is just to test market because much easier to expand to asean and India market. Our population too small to make an impact. That's why nowadays new tech usually don't come here first.
