Do you guys have VOLTE on the Mi11U, I'm on starhub network, no VOLTE. Currently on China Rom, what's the advantage of flashing to Global rom? Other than elimination of bloatware, does the phone support VOLTE and the phone would be more like a local set xiaomi? Pardon my questions as I'm a noob with China Rom and flashing, etc.
Volte i tell u liao bro :s13:

Elimation of bloatware is the main reasons for flashing xiaomi eu rom. U cant flash global rom on china sets from what i know from the bros here.

Also, if china roms have notification issues, flashing eu rom will solve that too

No, it is perfectly ok to flash Global ROM on china sets. - I have done it many times in the past
Just need to unlock the bootloader and flash it. (BUT DO NOT LOCK THE BOOTLOADER BACK AS IT WILL BRICK THE PHONE)

If bootloader never lock, then then apps such as banking, Netflix, etc can't be used isn't it?

Thanks bro! I noticed China Rom when you self install Google playstore, and messaging apps such as WhatsApp and telegram, will have notification issues, when you custom notification settings to let the apps notify you properly, the batt drain will be quite bad. Look forward to flashing to the EU Rom next week.

Treat unlocking as opening the door
Open door alr u go into the phone can do many things
Dun think till so complicated

Correct. Unlock bootloader will not trip safetynet. Rooting of device is the one that will trigger safetynet and banking apps will then cant be used

Both are different things. So dont mix up :s13:

Hi bros, just to share that I was checking for the price for trading in my oppo findx2 pro and already getting ready for the 6.6 deals to purchase the china set of Mi 11 Ultra.

Texted the mobile shop boss to asked about the price for selling my oppo, told him i am changing to Mi 11 Ultra. And guess what he told me? He said the Mi 11 Ultra Global SG version will be launched in SG somewhere in end June or July!

And now, another brother confirmed that Mi SG has the phone listed on their website. Looks like this is going to be real! I guess I'll wait a while, since already waited for so long. Just hope the price won't be too high compared to the ones from shopee.

Cheers!

Fuçk local xiaomi lah. For 12/256 the price will be 1.4k, and they took so long to bring it in. Plus still ceramic white still lack of stock worldwide. Just get 12/512 china set and flash it ownself better then waiting for so long.

I knew all these by reading
Since u have the intention to do all these, try google around read more will benefit u
At least if something weird happen, roughly u will know what happen or where to find solution etc

Go find out what is brick, eu rom, root, safetynet etc

All along buying high end/flagship phones from china (CN rom) has always been cheaper by a few hundred. Look at previous china phone brands like xiaomi, oneplus, oppo, vivo, all cheaper to import from china than buy local. Not sure why you expect the price to be competitive/cheaper.

Local does have advantage in local warranty (1 year for xiaomi), and for the general public who can't or are afraid of flashing another ROM. Right now I see those reputable online shops can get 12/256 for $1300, and 12/512 for around $1370. If you use vouchers or willing to deal with carousel then can maybe push to $12xx.

If can get local 12/256 for $1400 i think its a good deal already. If >$1500 then need to think harder

After using third party battery saving software "Buoy" the battery life really improved a lot. Now 1 day charge 1 time can liao. But abit troublesome need to use ADB commands to activate.
