Anyone having this problem where after charging the phone to 100%, it stops charging (light indictor goes off) and it doesn't charge even you reconnect the cable? It will only recharge if I reboot the phone.

yes I experience it sometimes. its a bug.

the problem is miui

it slows down the hardware and has many many bugs that is why there is frequent updates

was using xiaomi 2 & now samsung core prime

samsung is way better than xiaomi

miui whatsapp problem is you must not clear the app or no notification whereas samsung even if you clear got notification

also playstore will not tell you to update apps until you open it

miui is great gui but did a lousy job when integrating andriod
for the WhatsApp problem, you have to 'lock' the app in the recent apps menu by swiping down the app icon to prevent it from being 'cleared away', and also set WhatsApp as an autostart app in the Security app.

Though there are some users reporting that this doesnt work, which could be the low RAM available on Redmi devices that kills apps even it's being 'locked', which in end boils down to MIUI not that optimized for 1GB RAM(or 2GB RAM to an extent). :)

How fast u want? How much pay for it? Please lah.........

This is not a fair comment. At current Mi4i price. Many brand can beat thus proce with better processor and speed. Most important, without the big memory eater call Miui.

Cannot say it slow or whatsoever.

The price paid for sd615 is great. Go take a look at OPPO r5 at a staggering $5xx. And some of us here get it at $23x. Half the price for the same thing.

But yes of cause you compare it with other phones its more likely miui issue. Its not very well optimized i would say. There is no reason why a sd615 and 2gb to slow down badly.

Wait for more updates ba. Or if theres custom rom to install then go ahead.

Hahaha second day and I'm doing this already. Also downloaded all the google apps to replace the miui equivalent. Much more bearable now. How to remove those Xiaomi apps though? Quite annoying. I think this will be my interim phone until iPhone 6S. Then this will become backup phone.

Take a look to Zenphone 2 and Lenovo in around the same price range.
OPPO r5 should be in the Mi4 (not Mi4i) range.

r5 how to compare with mi4?

If you are comparing it by price?

Cause specs by specs, the r5 is the same specs as the mi4i. Just different battery capacity. And r5 has the worse battery mileage than mi4i.

Mi4 uses a SD801. Its a high end phone if you were to ask me.

Zenfone 2 and Lenovo A7000 is the same price range and also not very good as the mi4i. I was fiddling my friends A7000. Was utterly disgusted by the phone lol.

Ok lah heres my take on the mi4i.

Pros
- Very appealing screen technology
- Acceptable battery life (clocked 2hours 45mins - 3hours screen on time)
- Nice poly-carbonate plastic. Brings back the memory to my good old days HTC One X feel.
- Not bad camera
- MIUI is interesting and at times easy to use
- Handles non demanding games well

Cons
- Poor buttons build quality
- Slow charging, not optimized by qualcomm fast charge (2hours 15mins from 0-100% unlike Note Edge charges 1hour 25mins from 0-100%)
- Poor speaker performance
- Games don't seems to run that smooth on performance mode
- Still quite hot even after the thermal control updates
- Front selfie camera is poor
- MIUI is terrible for arranging app icons etc

The MIUI to me is a love hate relationship lol.
