just collected myrepublic trial set mi4i still in 5.x.x, wonder want update or not, the miui looked a bit different

Can download the ROM to PC, transfer to phone and then perform the update.

Mine is the beta version.
Hmmm I don't really find any improvement. Some of the annoying issues I faced with Miui6 still remain:
- does not display incoming caller's contact photo
- cellular connection occasionally drops off

Camera is working fine though.

I think at best, Miui 7 should just call Miui 6+

Don't think can just replace the back cover since the batt is inbuilt. But I do have a hard frame with back cover case to sell off. PM me if u r interested.

Might not be justified, given the expected cost.
Suggest to use a nice phone case to hide the damage

ive seen the service centre guy open the case in front of my eyes.

he did it with a flat tip to pry the plastic away in 5 seconds.

there are NO CONNECTED PARTS. the back plate is literally a shell, something like nokia lumia phones.

so if u can find the back plate online then just buy and diy the repair

Would you mind elaborating (with pics/video) the issue you're facing?
I don't really use my phone camera much, but so far I've found it quite all right. Maybe I can test under similar situation as you face, to see if mine also has issue.
