The Mi 5c will not work in Singapore for now, as it only support the 2G network supported here..

It only support TDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA as of now due to the limited network supported by the new Pinecone Surge S1 processor.

However, Xiaomi has state that more networks will be supported with future OTA updates.

Reminds me alot of the iPhone 6S, especially the thinness is about the same.

I'm quite interested in the battery life for this. Happily using the Xiaomi Mi5 (with lineage 14) but since this is so cheap, I don't mind getting one too. Might use it to test out new custom roms.

I doubt there will be custom rom any time soon for this chipset. First they need to release the source code for the open source community. Then hope some good developers are willing to try out before u see anything on xda. Look at mtk chipset, enough said.

But it's unavoidable leh, it's either Xiaomi go the traditional way of putting a plastic plate(like the Redmi Note 4X) but that will make the phone look cheap so they decided to use glass instead.
I feel it makes the phone design more unique haha, not the ordinary antenna strip or plastic plates.

This type of design is similar to the Huawei Nova too, albeit the Nova only has it on the top.

I like it. Camera good (although I doubt much improvement), slim and lighter. And it's 5'. I love it.

Hard to fulfill the above requirements for small 5' phones. Except the 4' iPhone SE.

By right it can't be used with our network right out of the box, but by left you can do some tweaks with its internal hardware settings to enable support for our network.

But i'm confused.Considering the hype on the Mi 5c is supposedly

1. thinner 7.1 mm but Mi5 is 7.3 mm (slightly thicker only)
2. lighter 135g but Mi5 is 129g
3. better camera with 12 MP, f/2.2, 27mm, but the Mi5 is 16 MP, f/2.0, OIS (4-axis)

Seems like the Mi5 is better choice? If base on camera alone .. the OIS on the Mi5 would have a much better advantage,
