Oh. I'm not faulting them or anything. Their service as good and fast. And it's kinda expected that 3rd party screens wld be inferior in certain ways

Nah, I'm not siding them either.

As in I thought that I would be asking them if its original parts that they are using or if they can guarantee that the brightness settings would be the same as my current screen etc before I procure their services.

You mentioned that its a 3rd party screen?

Anything not from xiaomi service center i wld consider as 3rd party? Too bad my device is an import set. But lesson learnt abt the screens. Hopefully I don't have to deal with crack screens in the near future

The battery they removed from my handset and the newly replaced one appears to be the same to me.

Anyone knows how to completely off mobile data?

I unchecked the mobile data icon from the panel but when i swipe down i still see 4g icon, and data being used by system apps like google services framework

Can't be bah - once you turn off the mobile data icon it'll automatically be in voice only - means to say even though you are on 4g/3g network but its for calls only.

Your 4G/3G will always be there and u should be noticing is the arrows pointing up and down, which is the indication of data is still on.

Best u hope over to your phone setting page and look for mobile data off.

Try to restart the phone, or turn on & off to airplane mode.

Are u on a limited data? Like prepaid card with free data? If not maybe just let them eat the 600Kb.

If yes then best u have to download a 3rd party apps to check for phantom apps that is using data even when your mobile data is off.

Which Telco and postpaid or prepaid are you using.
Sometimes the data usage may be not measure accurately or delay status.

After you do turn off the mobile data, try to surf internet or here to see if it works or not.

Some Google services will attempt to run in the background.

Did this happen to anyone?
Recently battery dropped like 50% over night. I used to still have 90%+ in the morning, fully charged before going to sleep.

If you used the phone for at least 1 year, it's most likely a battery issue and not a firmware issue.

I Google to see if there's any known battery draining issues due to official roms but nothing major going on.

When they returned the old battery to me after replacing with the new one - it was as flexible as a play dough which isn't supposed to be the case at all.
