I have the mi max and a 8" tablet. Although quite close in size, there's still some difference depending on what you prefer. I prefer to use the tablet for long-form reading, or reading pdf magazines and books. Less zooming in/out and scrolling required. Of course, on the go, I will still use MM as I always have my phone with me. But at home, if I have both within reach, then I will use the tablet.

Both can serve your main usage well. Which gives a better experience depends on your own preferences.

For example, if you are someone who prioritizes weight, then the MM might be better because it's lighter = more likely to bring it out. How good/bad is your eyesight? If you struggle to read smaller text, then a 8" might suit your reading needs more. Etc...

Because now got a 5.5" main phone already. Went Challenger to feel Mi Max. Very nice screen, impressed. So a little itchy :s13:

Thanks for the details. No problem with eyesight so anything is fine :s13:

5.5" phone
- Small screen
- Read articles need more scrolling
- Less shiok when playing games
- As a phone it is great balance between weight and size

Mi Max
- Impressive screen -- somehow colours look better than my phone
- Can change to use as phone in future!
- MicroSD slot, so I don't care 16, 32, 64, or 128GB version
- Screen still smaller than the iPad Mini 4, more scrolling needed than iPad Mini 4 -- I see why you prefer the 8" tablet for reading

iPad Mini 4
- Better reading experience, for books or articles
- Better gaming experience, more shiok
- Don't care with or without cellular since I can always tether phone
- More expensive (2 times)
- No expandable memory slot
- Cannot put in pocket, more troublesome

Now Mi Max without warranty about half price as Ipad Mini 4, might just go ahead with Mi Max.

At sim Lim today and saw uncle in front of me get tempered glass. Doesn't cover the curved bit but goes on tidy. Only $10. A few Shop got cases ranging from $8 for TPU up to $30 for a fake leather one. Nothing too appealing though. Saw a flip wallet Style one for $12 but looked inconvenient to use.

I was in this dilemma.

Then I did some research. Based on benchmark, SD652 is like 3% faster than SD650 and it is on benchmark. Plus I never like to store pictures and videos on phone's internal storage. Reason is that if the phone is dead, that's it.

Whereas with microSD card, we can just take it out and put into another phone.

With the above consideration + cheaper + option of global ROM now, I went for Mi Max SD650 / 3GB / 32GB.

32gb $229 64gb $259. $30 different so just get 64gb.

any tempered glass to recommend in qoo10? moi need it fast.. bought one from sapphire pure. It does not fit the screen, let alone its curved edge :mad:
