wah that bad ah at home can't receive 4g is jia lat lehhhh

anyone else got that problem? will the phone sold by challenger have the same issues?

In sg, mi max is unable to use 4g to make calls. The phone is supposed to downswitch to h/3g/2g...

Both mine tested in Msia on Celcom, Miui 8 and Miui 7, both 4G data ok and consume less battery than 3G.

also the signal 4G on the mi max kinda poor.

when at home I can't receive 4G network, the phone will stay at 3G always.

when I switch to other phone using the same SIM card it can receive 4G 100%. I tested Asus and iPhone.

My max no such problems with 4G signal leh.. Using M1 and comparing with note 5 in my office

You have to wait extended period of time for weak or no signal before the phone switch to another network. Tested a few time, it can takes as long as 2 min.

Max have second space in miui and also have the option to lock apps. Why do you need Samsung Knox? Anyway not compatible with Knox..

This is not normal.

You may wish to factory reset your phone or check with your operator.

After my first Max updated to Miui 8, my wife disappointed by some very sweet and cute of miui 7 themes no longer compatible. That's why another will be stay put on miui 7.

Was wondering if I got a defective sensor. So I just tried my first ever fingerprint setup, lucky fingerprint scan and unlock function still work very fast and smoothly. Sensor should be good. What I think now is it could be the factory 7.5.3.0 rom do not enable that touch-to-fingerpad-awake-phone function.

I also forgot if I discovered this before or after miui 8 update.

did anyone revert back to miui7? Do you find miui 7 faster compared to 8

me. all along I'm on 7. reason being, apps cannot be disabled on 8,hence the downgrade.
volume is loud on 7.
i find that it is sufficient for my simple needs.

I just done it last night. I back to 7.5.7.0 with quick ball function. I still very new to miui so not much experience. I notice 7 used less ram, more theme to choose from. It also occupied less memory.

7 don't enable touch fingerpad to wake phone which I miss this function. The quickball on lock screen plus double tap wake phone is really usefull.

Another thing I noticed is miui7 got more sub selections than 8.

Still experiencing.

Lately my max has problem receiving WhatsApp. The messages only came thru after or when I open the phone or WhatsApp. It was not like this before. I have been using Miui 8 beta all the while.
