Ya lor. Anyway 64gb no official global rom yet.

Lol ya. Anyway only one down point for me on this phone. Until now, i dont see 4g+ signal on data lol. But still having normal 4g is very sufficient for my day to day usage, since i dont really need that kind of fast speed outside.

To me as long as 4g is usable i dun bother if there is + or not.

Limited data. Surfing is acceptable.

More than 1.5 million units?! Wah piang eh, siow liow!

Well, not sure whether u guys heard of the first Android phablet or not? I owned the Dell Streak back in 2010 when everybody's jaw dropped because they thought I was siow enough to carry around such a big ass phone! Er, back in 2010, 5-inch was considered damn bloody big for a phone, you know. And now everyone's snatching up 6.44-inch phones like nobody's business! :s22:

Anyway, the Dell Streak was a shitty, laggy phone with ancient specs = Snapdragon Scorpion 1.0 GHz, 512MB RAM + 16GB ROM, 480 x 800 pixels, microSD up to 32GB, 5MP camera & Android Froyo 2.2... but I liked to watch movies on the big ass screen & bragged about it to everyone else, haha! :D

Hard to why it should not.

Made me purchased an export set...
Haha it's an unexpected success to many, as no one expect a 6.4" smartphone to sell as much as 1.5 million since it's a size that many deems it as 'too-big and not portable' but now it seems that demand for 6+" phones is there and could be a spot where more manufacturers is going to tap on.

Samsung recently released a 7" smartphone, Galaxy J Max, while Asus released a 6.8" Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and Huawei is releasing a Honor Note 8 soon with a 6.6" screen to conquer the successful Mi Max.

Mobile content is not that heavy and rich enough in 2010 thus Dell Streak is considered an alien to all with its massive 5" at that time.
The Samsung Galaxy Note released in 2011 was also initially thought to be a flop to many since Dell Streak failed miserably too, but its charm tool, S Pen, somehow managed to capture attention and now it's sort of the successful pioneer of the phablet market.

Mi Max region initially was started by Sony's Xperia Z Ultra and it was quite well-received too, with other contenders coming in next, like Samsung Galaxy Mega (6.3), Lenovo Phab Plus, Huawei P8 Max but those didn't really make a mark in the region.
Mi Max's presence seems to be one of the shining ones now in the phablet market~

I bought this phone over note 3 is coz of 4g + 3g. Would have preferred note 3 size initially worrying that i might have problem with mi max size.

But suprising I am loving the size of mi max. Still managable...

Do not think this is true. Just returned from China last month. Redmi Max is available widely in many shops. Do not seem is out of stock condition. You can even get it from Xiaomi flagship store. No advance booking is required.
