Try rebooting your phone. I got the same error message when I tried to open the Google maps I just downloaded.

After rebooting my Google maps worked normally

Edit : oops realize the error message different, you can't download the file? My problem was that the app was downloaded but couldn't be opened initially.

I removed my Google account, reboot the phone then added the account back... works fine now

Yah, i didn't change any settings under the 'Manage apps battery usage' tab. The phone is on standard phone saving mode. There is wifi in my office which my phone is connected to, so the wifi is never off.

Currently the phone is about 19hr 20 mins on battery, still 20% left and on screen time is 7hour 45mins.

Hmm.. now using Nexus 6P and Mate 7. Very tempted to get this for the big battery and screen. Especially my 6P always teaching 30% +/- by the time I finished work.
