Hi, any max users have a problem when there's no screen(blank) when the alarm rings?

no such prob during my usage on mimax.
is your applied with tempered glass? maybe affect the sensor? my guess.

Just an update.. bought from mobile bee @ lazada, the box is not sealed.. google playstore is installed... but still with china rom.. immeidately prompt for update whwn connect to internet

Phone. It's certainly not as large as a tablet.

The Huawei P8 Max or Lenovo Phab/Phab Plus would qualify as a tablet.

The actual usable screen size of PHAB plus 6.8" and Max 6.44" should be around the same.... PHAB Plus has on screen buttons that 'eat' into the screen space while Max buttons are below the screen

I collected this phone from simder few days ago, have few questions not sure anyone encountered.

1) Can't seem to select Google now launcher, installed already but it's not there in the home default. Other launcher like Asus Zen ui is alright.

2) can't get helium to work, even though I installed Google & xiaomi adb driver in Windows. Try on Mac also can't work. I did not root the phone, so need to connect the phone to PC to enable helium.

3) the default miui launcher is showing 3rd party app icons with a black background, can this be solved?

4) which brand/type of suction cup holder you all use to stick this to windscreen? The ones I saw, the arms are short, so not possible to stick phone in portrait to windscreen as the phone too tall.

5) the tpu and screen protector (film not glass) I get from the seller together with the phone kinda sucks.. I guess outside no shops selling casing and tempered glass yet right.

Initial review after playing it for a few hours.. for $313 that i paid.. the built is good.. however its the google playstore stuff that gets a bit frustrated for me.. u need to restart the phone after using google apk to install the play store.. surprinsely the 5Ghz works well as compared to the redmi note 3 which sucks .. as they are similar platform (3gb ram, 32gb , Snapdragon 650)... will continue to play with it.. will be testing the 4G/3G function ..

Have both Mate 8 and this. Think its very good actually. If they had included NFC this would be a clear winner. Not as convenient to install Play store but its ok.
