Hey Guys!

Am interested in getting the Xiaomi Max and it will be my first experience using an Android-based handphone (an IPhone user all this while) and would like your guys inputs as to whether should I get the 32GB or 64GB variant?
Understand that one uses 650 & the other 652.
I'm not an avid gamer but I would use it for mainly watching videos/emails.

Appreciate your inputs :)
(I tried reading up this entire thread but mostly are leaning against 32GB due to the price and the 650 prompt updates?)

Cheers!

32gb will be a good android phone to start out with...

I think it will suits you because it is very iOS-like IMHO. But! Dont take my word for it, as it is still different from apple.

Leaning towards 32gb because it is cheap, sd650 and sd652 not much different, global rom supported (first) and maybe a lot users trying out.

Another reason is not many users uses dual sim (all the time i mean), hence always can add in memory cards.

For your case get the 32gb version as global version have the google services built-in and i believe you're not much of a techies, so getting 64gb will be headache for u (since currently official only china rom).

Very sad. Drop phone on 2nd day and screen crack. Order from aliexpress with dhl new screen almost $100. But now already replaced lcd. As gd as new. Just an advise try not to use hard case. Screen really quite fragil. Use soft case if possible

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX using GAGT

Yes. That's why I go this case.

Problem is, I don't have Mi Max yet. LOL! Think by the time this case arrives, there may be some promo again, then buy.

Item : Ultra slim clear transparent TPU soft silicone back case cover for Xiaomi Mi Max
Price : About SGD$1.40

The shape look so weird men

Looks like they purposely designed it like that to help cushion the corners from drops. I have a friend who uses a case in this shape for her note 3, but the case is a lot bulkier than this, rigid plastic. It functions almost like a g-shock... haha. I've seen it dropped from table height, no issue.

32GB is good enough. You can slot in another 64GB SD card if there is not enough storage in the future.

The 6.44" huge screen will simply blow your mind away for video watching. The video or movie or YouTube are big and clear likes on a 32" FHD TV! Super enjoy! Super shiok! :)

As per all experts advice here, 32GB is easy to use as it will be on official international OS and not China OS on the 64GB model which doesn't have Google related apps. It is a pain in the ass and can be very frustrating.

So, order it now from Lazada from the link given..:)

IMHO, actualy doesn't look so bad. But I like this for 2 things :

1. It provides an air cushion between the phone and case
2. Thicker silicone at the 4 corners which cushion impact

Anyway, $1.40 only, I just buy it to try, if no good, just change lah.

Yah. But then, for Mi Max size, seriously if drop, I really not sure the case is sufficient to protect it or not.
