If the firmware isn't present I'm sure you'll have all 32gb intact

Sent from Jiak Liow Bi phone using GAGT

I do understand that the firmware will take up space. Does that mean everyone's set also shows Total : 26.15GB(there about)?

Under the breakdown, besides app, it also shows other files taking up 4+GB. Any idea what are these other files?

I just hope hat I have correctly clean/clear out the internal memory.

Thanks for your clarification.

Is it possible tat this phone has a "weaker" GPS?
Was having dinner wif a colleague juz now at cwp foodcourt
Her iphone6s+ has no problem playing Pokemon GO but my xiaomi max has no GPS signal at all :(
My GPS setting already set to high accuracy liao

It might be the stupid telco not the phone.... least that was true in my case.

My Xiaomi Note 3 could not get any signal in many indoor locations playing Pokemon GO, thought that it was the phone initially. During my troubleshooting, discovered that it's the stupid M1 sim card... GPS weak in other phones too. Tried using Singtel sim card on Xiaomi Note 3 and walah... no more issue with GPS signal..

Initially I was also set on silver, but since the gold had the better deal, I caved. After using for almost 2 weeks, realized even without a back cover, rarely see the gold at all, usual view is the screen + white border of the front, so quite ok. =:p

Coz she wanna use transparent case and that she wants to see silver back... WTF...Gosh!

Essex I already ordered that smartcell roti prata for her long time ago liao!

I.... LPPL again....

Hi everyone,

Finally, read through all the posts in this thread. I have got a 32GB originally with 7.3.11 installed. I have managed to flashed it to MIUI 8 Beta(latest version) using the EDL mode and miflash(selected flash all)

I noticed that in the Storage page it shows the Internal Storage total to be only 26.15GB. Is this normal? Should it be 32GB instead?:s11:

Any comment from all experts of Mi Max users?

Thank you!

Yes. Same. I am on MIUI 8, also show 26.15GB. So relax and enjoy the phone.

Anyway, I never trust phone's internal storage. I store everything on the microSD card slot. Because if the phone suddenly dies on us, just take out the microSD card will do.

Anybody got problem in taking video in the camera app? I am on the miui 8 rom. It also hangs or have the error message when i tried to take video in the instagram.

Should be "Permission" issue. Go under Settings - Installed apps, then scroll down and look for Instagram app, select and then scroll down all the way to "App Permissions", then make sure ALL selected or just select the "Camera".

Try and feedback whether does it work.

turn on wifi and mobile data at the same time. it should work. then for singtel mobile users, if in the area of singtel wifi, lagi better, can offload to singtel wifi.

i realised china/india set no difference, just gotta flash it via edl mode and bam, you've got a set running global rom without any issues.

thanks kelvinti for the tips! =D

u r right. that's why i broke my contract with m1 and went with singtel sim only (10GB 150min 500sms for $36.05) whole day PoGo not scared exceed. :s13:

when in areas where GPS not so zai, really dependent on telco to feed location. m1 signal is very weak at my home, which i realised after playing pokemon go cuz the the coordinates that i am at using data is at least 3 streets away :s13: singtel is quite precise so i guess they have more base stations and cells deployment?

so far my mi max and huawei more zai in PoGo locating indoors as compared to note5 ;)
