FYI, if you're still considering export sets, I'd recommend purchasing from seller Smartcell Pte Ltd (via lazada) like some of us. I'm not affiliated with them, just happened to buy from them due to the reviews here cos I also wasn't keen to do any flashing myself, being new to xm phones... The export set that you receive, can be used out of the box. Cos it will either be india set (with global rom) or china set (which they help to flash to global rom).

Comparing the prices of both local and export (without taking into account any discounts/promos applied):
Local: $349
Export: $284.90
Price difference: $64.10 for 1 year local warranty. Which works out to $5.34 per month for local warranty. Not bad at all.

If you have a SCB credit card, you can look into this promo ($30 off $250 min spend): http://www.lazada.sg/standard-chartered-credit-card-promotion/

That would bring your price comparison to $319 vs $254.90. Hope this helps.

One thing about shopback is that they take up to 90 days to credit the money into your bank account. If it's just a few dollars savings I can't really be bothered

hi all,

if purchase from lazada or qoo export set does it mean i need to install e google installer myself? if it is a global set means it come wif the play store? anyway to check from seller page?

any question is removing the front and back camera does not affect any of the function rite, other then the camera function? work purpose so cant have camera function.

Did you send a note to the seller to request flashing to global rom? But noticed that lazada do not allow for direct communication w seller, unlike qoo10.

Nope, before I bought, those here who bought from them, noticed that their china sets are flashed to global rom by default, no need to request. That's why I went for it.

It comes with China ROM but no problem as I bought from them too! Just flash it to Global ROM! Simple as that! :s22:

No more 249, now it's 271 so with scb code again lazada is the better deal :(
