any lobang for qc 3.0 charger?

Will it "spoil" the battery since Mi Max battery is not designed for quick charging? Safe?

If safe, which model should I order. So many models listed in Aliexpress..

This model okay? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Auk..._2&btsid=8aa78582-eeee-4c6c-8ef9-86bf4da8338e

I need at least 2x QC 3.0 ports for charging a Mi Max and an iPhone 7 Plus!

Mi max support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 offcially, you check the official list in PDF format by Qualcomm.
https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list

But note that although it support QC3.0, some earlier ROM might not enable it. also It doesn't pull the full power supported by QC, my reading is mostly at 1.45A@6.6V = ~9.6W. I never did a full test from 0~100% test but from 40% to 90%, it took 80 minutes. The quick charge is a lot faster when the battery capacity is low, after 80%, the speed is the same as normal charger.

Apple like to control everything, since QC is from Qualcomm, needless to say, iphone will never support QC. on the good news, iphone6 and above do support up 2A@5V = 10W or 2.4A@5V for ipad. in actual uses, its more like 1.5A~1.8A@5V. this is comparable to Samsung devices--non QC. the bad news is many chargers do not support apple trick: D+ 2.7V/D- 2.7V

Anker is the most famous brand, because everyone think the no.1 seller in US must be the best. well, I just like to mention one can get the same QC speed from other decent brand too. I for one would prefer to pay for the internal component and less for appearance and ads.

I prefer Tronsmart, Aukey and Choetech. all these can be found on Lazada.:

Tronsmart Tronsmart W3PTA $17.54
Aukey PA-T14 $19

These two are actually the same internally, just the ext casing is different. 1x QC3.0 + 2x 2.4A@5V that support Apple/Android devices.

Or if you have many mobiles devices, 6 port chargers.
Aukey PA-T11 $33.20
Choetech Q3-4U2Q

They both have 2x QC3.0 + 4x smart port that support 2.4A@5V, Apple or Android. Aukey is 60W max, Choetech is 50W but all its 6 ports support Apple full speed and comes with a dock. Aukey is a hair thinner but half an inch longer.

I had personally purchased many of the above mentioned product, all of them arrived in about one week. That's way faster than the lousy Aliexpress seller, they are slowest I had ever experienced, worst than ebay.

Actually, based on the small print, I wouldn't say mi max supports it officially. To me it seems like the hardware supports QC3.0 officially, but Mi Max does not support it 'officially' since it's not on their official spec list.

err, I don't understand why you mean. Xiaomi submitted Mi Max to get the devices certified and appear on the Qualcomm QC3.0 device list. Using SnapDragon SoC like 820/652/650, etc, doesn't automatically make a device QC certified. In fact, the SoC and Charging IC are 2 different thing. for example, Samsung S7 doesn't support Qualcomm QC3.0 despite it use SD820 SoC. The Acer GT-810 which use intel Atom is QC capable, it will charge at ~9V and draw up to 2.4A.

Mi Max will charge at ~9V and ~1.75A when the battery capacity is low, as soon as it feel the battery temp is going up, it will throttle down to 1.45A@6.6V. The main different between QC2.0 and QC3.0 is the latter can vary the voltage from 3.7V to 20V, QC2.0 voltage is fixed at 5V, 9V, 12V or 20V.

GPS best to use outdoors. If indoors, walk to a window. I used mine with Sygic in Malaysia couple days ago. No problem.

Need help to uninstall some Google apps - China ROM

Hi all

I bought Mi Max with China ROM, with MIUI 8.6.11.24 version now. As I'm not using some of the Google apps, I have been trying to uninstall them but seems can't do it as no thrash bin icon shown whenever moving these apps.

Tried to search at MIUI forum but couldn't find a post about it. Does anybody ever succeed in deleting the google apps? Thanks
