yes. 3 days standby or ,83hrs.

for max, after rooting,
great standby and great SOT.

based on my light usage ,browse hwz and music. no phone calls.

Hi guys, I'm interested in buying the Mi Max but I noticed that there are 2 models, Mi Max and Mi Max Prime?

Does the Max Prime have better support or would I be better off buying the 3GB/64GB version if I want custom ROMs?

Mi Max - 2 * 1.8GHz (A72) Snapdragon 650 core + 4 * 1.4GHz A53 cores:
2GB/16GB
3GB/32GB

Mi Max Prime - 4 * 1.8GHz (A72) Snapdragon 652 core + 4 * 1.4GHz A53 cores:
3GB/64GB
4GB/128GB

The rest of the specs all the same.

first battery test after rooting the phone.on singtel 3G. 100% on mobile data.

what have I done; tweaked the CPU, from 6 cores, switched off 4 cores.
disabled the Google play services components. excellent standby.

Means only 2 cores are running? Does the phone lags?

Disable Google Play services, does Gmail still sync?

Just find it strange why you copy from Google Drive to PC hard disk. Should copy from phone to PC hard disk

Ohh! :s8:

If I'm outside the whole day or oversea for days...I can't simply wait until I come back home then copy them to my pc at home in case my phone kaput before I can copy them to pc after I come back home!

So.....by copying to Google drive asap, I have an immediate backup copy of my photos taken secured in the cloud if my phone spoiled...:D

After come back home, copy again either from phone or Google Drive to PC...:D

If PC also spoiled after come back home, I still have full copy in Google Drive....:D

Don't tell me that I'm Kiasi hor! It is my own's Fail-Safe practice! :D

Went to have a look at the phone at the Mi store yesterday. It's HUGE! Heh. That's me holding it normally, and then trying to reach my thumb across - this requires some grip, I.e. can't use the phone.

Looks like the ring becomes somewhat of a necessity.

Overall though, I'm tempted!

The handset is huge! No doubt about it! However, It's awesomely slim to make it not difficult to have a firm grip even holding it in one hand!! So, not too worry! :)

If it is thick...then problem! :(

Now, let's focus....focus on the other huge part...The 6.44" display! That should win you over or wins anybody over! :s22:

Actually, one must hold and operate the handset freely to have a real feel and not holding it just like that over the display counter with the security string attached to it! :)

That isn't a real feel! :s22:

one big core and one small core are running, quite OK.
I never disabled all GPS components, Google account can still be synced.

don't know what service I have disabled that the phone cannot be making phone calls at all haha.probably need to reset the whole thing again.

After using the phone for last couple days, actually the size is just about right for me. I am not attaching the iring which I thought I would need originally as the tpu case already provide some kind of traction/grip for the phone. Also instead of resting the phone on the palm when trying to do one hand typing, I would rest it on my fingers instead.

So for those whom are worried about the size, I think it is more about getting used to it as many others on this thread can attest to.

Personally no regrets at all and enjoying every inch of it and the super speedy response as compared to my previous dinosaur. :s13:

Good to hear that, Starbutt bro! :)

I second that. When holding and operating the Mi Max in hands (2 hands), especially typing, it is quite manageable actually.

The only time you probably feel "uncomfortable" is when you are wearing tight pants or jeans and that you have to slot the 7" thingy into the tight front pocket, and do a "sit-up".

To counter that, I slot it in my back pocket when I'm wearing tight. The habit of checking and taking out your Mi Max from the back pocket will develop eventually and no worry of crushing it when sitting down. :)

Afterall, one one doesn't wear tight everyday, right?!

You will just get use to the size and know how to manage it as time goes on.
