Waited so long for mipad5
Nowadays people seldom buy diy pc
It is better to switch to low cost tablets and phones

PC and tablet serve very different function. Even the most expensive tablet is no replacement for PC in most cases, even less so on budget tablet unless its mainly for media consumption.

Hi, my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 recently broke down and is looking for a replacement. Heard the Mipad 4 is good. Is it still worth to buy now? Where is the cheapest I can find for mipad4 8” wifi+LTE?

Qoo10 is your best bet... look for the shop Finer... most users here buy from them... otherwise import in from China yourself from Taobao or Xiaomi's website lor...

Recent price of mipad4 have shot up to pretty ridiculous amount compared to previously:s22:. I would suggest consider looking at Samsung Tab A if your budget is around $200. Really not worth getting mipad 4 now with that inflated pricing. Or if you are looking at about $500+, tab S5E/S6 lite is your best bet, audio and screen of S5E is few notch above mipad.

I was puzzled why the price for mipad4 came up to $500+. I read up the thread and saw some got it at $255 6 mths back. So the price really increased ah...what’s the reason for the price hike ah? Never see before electronics increase price one leh.

Taobao still can get LTE model under $300 but got to know how to ship back via external shipper or ezbuy?

so long the custom dev community is still supporting, this is still a solid tablet.
just switched from Google service image to the latest lineageOS a couple of days ago..
and it's solid :)

android 10 and device is certified in play store

perfect for netflix / plex / youtube / (magazine) reading / browsing / gaming.
Bro, mind sharing how u boot to TWRP recovery? I copied the image file, LineageOS zip n Gapp zip into my Mi Pad already, goes into recovery mode but can only see Reboot, Wipe Data, Connect with MiAssistant at the main menu. What did I missed out?

Thanks.

wah..can sell my 2nd hand for $400 ?? :)

You can try, I sold my base model at $200, the same price I got it for. Managed to find S5E at $380 and realized I missed so much. :s13: The sound quality blow the mipad4 left right up down. Most important of all, HD on netflix!.
But overall mipad4 seems to be slightly more responsive even with weaker chipset due to lower pixels and probably better OS.

boot into fastboot then (if u are using adb "adb reboot bootloader")
flash your twrp image in fastboot (with your pc connected "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img")
then boot into twrp ("fastboot boot twrp.img") using the twrp.img to flash your OS

omg u dive into all these w/o understanding anything first? -.-"

when u are in fastboot. type

fastboot devices

see if there is any device listed in the terminal window. if not i doubt u have enabled usb debugging. if so, so read up on enabling usb debugging again then come back to this step

Haha, pardon me pls. Coz I've been reading there are 2 methods, and so now I chose the adb method.
I managed to get into TWRP main menu but all failed after swiping. So now I'm wondering if the LineageOS zip n GApps zip should be in same directory as adb or remains in my MP4 internal storage, I created a folder in download to park my files.

These files are in my MP4 internal storage now, but I think no need the twrp.img already since that should be in adb directory right.

So those 2 I juz remain then as zip? No need to extract ah.
