Hi everybody, I'm recommending a budget phone for old folks,is the xiaomi redmi 2 good enough for messaging ,calling and basic net surfing? And also take some photos. Or xiaomi mi4i is better? Tkx

Redmi 2 is fine for basic needs. You looking at the Enhanced(2GB/16GB) or the 1GB/8GB?

Definitely enough. RedMi Note 2 for bigger screen. If not just RedMi 2.

Yes should be sufficient, unless your mum wants a bigger phone the Redmi Note 2 sits in well, comes in 2GB/16GB too

however, do take note that rm2 home, back, and multi-tasking buttons are not backlit

in comparison, rmn2 keys have backlight

I have a Redmi 2, overall can last at least a day and maybe a half day more perhaps for light usage.

A good budget phone if old folks dun mind the non lit back keys. Night time/poor lightings quite difficult to see the back keys. Batt life average for mine.

Try Asus. Better product and price is around the same.
