Look at Mi Max 3 when it launched VS the lowest price ever.
It's a no brainer to get export set. If the phone is working, it will be working. Very rarely we see a phone that works for weeks then hardware uplorried. Furthermore there are online shops in Qoo10 that provide the 1 year warranty like xiaomi.
Unless warranty cover cracked screen for 90% of the repair cost then yes, buy local sets. Cos that money can cover yr mistakes for cracking it.

Poco and note 5 seem close. Is poco cpu worth the upgrade over note 5? It cost like 50% more.

If you keep your phone for a long time and don't mind flashing custom ROMs to extend the lifespan of the device beyond the first 2 years, the poco phone probably is worth it.
