Xiaomi Redmi 1S thread

My PC which is on Win 8.1 64 Bit could not detect my micro SD card files in my Redmi 1S.
But the PC in my Office running Win 7 can detect both the phone n micro sd files.

How to work around this?

Just realise my Redmi 1S should be 2G at the 2nd SIM.....

Think have to seriously look for alternative now.

Need my 2nd SIM to be on 3G to receive calls / sms once the 2G is phased out next year......

2G still can receive call lah..maybe no data only..

but I also looking to change my spare phone (Redmi 1S) as i find it bulky..

how is Red 3S? 1111 offer coming..

what abt sms? im abit confused abt 3G 2G.....
Im abit concern what if No signal on my 2nd SIM after 2G getting phased out.

3S is the one Im getting....I went to the Xiaomi showroom yesterday and I measured with my Redmi 1S....exactly same size.....only 3S screen bigger....but 3S feels more solid and lighter....

Only concern is the 2G thing....for data i can use my 1st SIM...no issues.

in terms of audio call and sms, 2G/3G also should be ok.
2G or 3G mainly affect Data.
but I might be wrong cos some overseas network, when I turn off 3G, I cant seems to receive or make call, but I am not sure if it's phone limitation or network limitation as I know super old phone without 3G, pop in any sim card also can work one..

Don't mislead leh, the local telcos decommissioning the 2G network, meaning no more 2G signal after April 2017.

The Redmi 3S doesn't support 4G+3G, but the latest Redmi 4 'Pro'(with Snapdragon 625, 3GB+32GB) does support 4G+3G.

it is pretty confusing....

i spent the weekend going Little India asking which cheap phone (for my dad, i got him a cheap Nokia button phone....2G...becoz he got smartphone phobia) is for 3G.....they dunno what im talking about.....

looks like i have to carry 2 phones with me when the new rule kicks in......
