I just ordered a Redmi 3 16GB, fingers crossed :)

Any thing I should take note of?
What bloatware to remove and what good apps to install after rooting?

I just bot another one. Haha. Cheap and well built. Hope can at least last one year odd and no infant mortality!

You can remove those Cheena apps if u find that it does not do much for u or which u think hogged your storage space. But, do a backup first in the event something screw up and u have at least something to revert to without too much hassle.

Does anyone face problem where occasionally the screen seem freeze at the screen saver? Unable to unlock. I have to restart the phone.

It's not the lock screen (e.g no pin or pattern lock) but the standby screen before u see the main page

Try disable screensaver see if problem go away.
Mine no issue so far!

Ordered on Friday, received on Sunday. Very fast!
But receive a sms today from Lazada telling me my order has been shipped and another from TaQBin telling me I have a shipment lol ...

Still trying to get use to MIUI ... can't find a file manager ...
If I do a factory reset I will lose the Google Play store is it? Is it easy to install on my own?

I can't stand that there isn't any Apps drawer... It makes me headache with icons all over the pages likes iPhone...

I have installed the awesome Hola Launcher and OMG, it is awesome..

I think without rooting you can go to Installed Apps to disable/uninstall all those apps you dun want. Not all can be removed though.

With rooting I think you can install Titanium Backup to remove/freeze almost everything. But be careful though! Personally I have not try this.

i unlocked flashed custom rom and installed xposed. Best backup phone ever! 4100mah beast!

I recommend Explorer. It's a decent file explorer, ad free.

After rooted, if you want to remove bloat ware, don't remove the mi application store, it will cause a bootloop.
