Yea available in sg... the back design is like a bit copy from other phone brand... makes it look premium though haha... Poco C61 just came out... is a rebrand of Redmi A3...
I think A3 is stock android right, Poco C61 will be using miui/diaperos

Had a xiaomi a2 lite, one of the best valued phone. Kinda wasted to see xiaomi resurrect this line only to offer it as an budget option. It used to be Redmi Note level with stock android instead of miui

Oh Redmi A3 is not a successor to Xiaomi A2 Lite... it is the successor to Redmi A2... which was the successor to Redmi A1... and ya this is a budget entry line. I dun think they use stock android. After Xiaomi A2 lite there was Xiaomi A3 which was the last iteration for that line which used Android One (a sort of stock android) which is no longer in use anymore.

The Redmi A1, A2 in our SG suntec showroom used some stock android(or some form of Android Go) definitely not miui for sure

But it's really slow even fiddling/test around the UI. Even slower than the 11C/12C since i think this resurrected line is mean to succeed the 10A. A1=11A , A2 =12A , A3 =13A

Oh ya... Android Go... for entry-level phones...

Anyone bought this redmi A3 after recent launch? Can I ask is it true there is no "dual apps" function and also no second space?

I read that these features are available but just hidden, anyone knows how to unhide it?

Thank you

I tried it 2 weeks ago at xiaomi store, it's really a very basic phone. The processor is really old and slow. Battery charging is only 10W. The speaker is really mono, I said mono not stereo.

It's suited more probably as a phone for you to pass to your kids to watch their cocomelon.

It's running stock android because the soc cannot handle the weight of full blown miui.

Better to top up around 60$ more for the Galaxy a15 4g. Street price around 180sgd, far better specs in every measure

Redmi A3 G36 chipset is no go at $88, tested in person at Challenger, really very laggy performance. It will be total waste of $88. think even my elderly parents will feel frustrated using it.

Think better to wait for Redmi A4 5G Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, now selling at $150 (1 month warranty) export set, hopefully it will come to Sg and will quickly fall to the $130+ range with 1 year warranty + 2 year Android OS update + 4y security updates.

Hopefully the current C75 $139 clear stock promo, is paving the way for C75 5G.

If catch on sales, Redmi Note 14 4G as low as $170~ with smart band
M6 Pro was down to like $140~

A4 5G Cpu is decent but camera quite CMI and 720p lcd for long term everyday use might not be ideal
Ultimately very niche cheap, 5G entry phone but good & quirky tradeoffs

Think Xiaomi realize how silly that combo was, their Redmi A5 reverted back to a lousy unisoc T615/ T7250
