Hi,

I updated to 7.2.3 and experienced the following:
1. The phone was very warm and within half a day battery dropped from 100% down to 80% without using it only in standby mode.
2. Second sim not working properly. sometimes no signal and keep on searching connect and disconnect.
3. Touch screen was not responsive took about 30 sec to react.
4. Wifi was very very SLOW and most of the time couldn't be connected.

My solution:
Went to service center and requested the staff to downgrade to 7.1.8. Once done, connect to WIFI and update to 7.2.3. During this process, did not install any apps from playstore. Once 7.2.3 was updated, I did a reset and my phone started a fresh and all my problems solved.

why downgrade to 7.1.8 then go back 7.2.3 again? btw u ask service center to downgrade rom will yr data and apps all gone? how long it took?

everytime update firmware need to reset phone and redo and reinstall all the apps and setting where got time? does the xiaomi backup really works? previously i use they only back up partially only

I'm on 7.2.3 wireless range was not optimal but no issues selecting either 2.4 or 5 as long in range. So far the only device that could not connect at my usual location to the router among all of the other mobiles I've been using including their redmi 1.

Finger print not working?
Maybe fingerprint also on standby?

Usually the case I just press power on button once then finger print, it will work

So I believe it's on standby but no idea how to make it not on standby.

those on old 3g plan..

if yr connection like quite bad.. switch the preferred network to 3G only.

after i did that. the connection became better

otherwise it was dropping every few mins

I switch to 3g also.. Not much different compare to 4g. And save more battery power.

Feel a pity some great phones like sharp 402sh came out too early. If came out now can use sd 650 or sd 820..best in looks and powerful enough.

So far what I loves abt this note 3 is battery life.. Heavy usage can last 2 days. Finger print sensor and the metal build. And absolutely no lag at all. Really wonder how can xiaomi sell so cheap.
