Welcome to the spooky but friendly RN3 family! :)

That 7.4.9.0 might be an unpublished China beta rom preloaded by the shop.

Yes! 7.3.8.0 is the latest official China Stable rom. You can just miflash to downgrade it now.:s22:

Alternatively or rather more sensibly, you can miFlash it to the latest Global rom V 7.3.7.0 or miFlash-beta to MIUI8 Global Beta 6.7.5 rom. :s22:

Thanks Kelvinti :)
Did some research, seems like I need to root the phone 1st before I can change it to the Global ROM?

Is that so? :s11:

Since it is a Pro SD version, it is technically the same as our local set SD version, right! Root is not needed at all!

I thought that you can just enter EDL mode and MiFlash a Fastboot ROM which is what I have been doing, flashing between Global / China beta/stable and MIUI8 Beta ROMs.

Flasher guru here, please help to confirm! :s22: :)

bro Kelvinti, may I know which guide do you use for the EDL mode? I tried to follow those in miui forums, but somehow the driver doesn't work. thanks.

I was not using a fast boot rom earlier.
Managed to change to Global rom 7.3.7.0 with MiFlash & a fast boot rom.
Thanks bro.

Just choose the Permanent Disabled method lah! =:p

Easy for future drivers installation too! :s22:

** Download Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 here!

Thanks bro.

Somehow disabling the driver signature doesn't work too, maybe my laptop problem. But driver become OK after I installed Xiaomi PC Suite.

Anyway, I managed to flash from china rom to global rom using EDL method (without unlock bootloader).

That's good! :s22:

As long as your PC has the QC driver will do which was installed automatically by installing Xiaomi PC Suits!:)

Enjoy! :s22:

Now, I need to side track a bit about mp3.=:p

Is there any freeware that can synchronise the volume level of all mp3 file? :s11: :D

Coz, some downloaded mp3 have higher volume while some have lower volume and that makes it "hard" for the ears especially when the next mp3 suddenly has higher volume when listening via headphone! :(

Suddenly getting high battery drain overnight due to 40% android usage. Might just flash to miui 8 beta. So all I need is to download the recovery rom for it and use the updater to flash right?

P.S If you have any idea on how to solve my battery drain problem, pls help

Hmmm.....strange indeed!

....Suddenly...Saturday overnight hangover! Too much alcohol last night lah! :s13:

Strangely too, I have not encountered such high battery drain with whatever phones until now...Touchwood.!=:p

Yeah! Recovery rom can just use Updater but not "clean" enough to resolve your battery drainage.

If you want a cleaner but total wipe out of any battery drain issue, use Fastboot ROM method.!

Personally, I did encounter game play and other funny issues after using Recovery ROM. Those issues were gone after I used Fastboot ROM method! :s22:

Your call, bro! :s22:;)

Are you on 7.3.7.0 firmware? I just switched back to 7.3.6.0.

Download from :
http://www.stechguide.com/miui-7-3-6-0-global-stable-rom-for-redmi-note-3/

Then put the file on the phone's internal storage (any folder) and flash via the "Updater" in the MIUI.

The battery life on 7.3.7.0 seems really CMI.

Hi, I think earlier on you had the same battery drain issue as well right? So I can just flash back the previous rom using the updater? Thanks.

Damn jialat.. For no reason battery drain about 40% overnight. Now only left around 35% battery and sot is only 2hrs+

Since you are gonna change rom. Why not take the opportunity to experience MIUI8 Global Beta 6.2.5 or have you...?

I think it is a good idea to do that now... :)

Thanks for your advice bro. But if I can just solve the battery issue downgrading I'll try that first as I don't really feel like reinstalling all my apps.
