I don't understand why ppl think they can able to profit from by flipping . Out of stock doesn't mean it is the end of the world. Most of us owned a smartphone anyway

Still don't have the $13 teddy bear which is given out free with orders on the Mi website

2 orders of mine, first was pink bear, then next was brown bear. I already have 2 pink bears from Note 2 launch :s13:

for the screen protector from Taozi, any difference between 0.26mm and 0.33mm thickness?

I read online that more thin = more expensive.. but Taozi is selling both at the same price.

Hi guys, bite the bullet and gotten 1 set from challenger :D

First impressions

1. Lighter than the original redmi note 3G despite a step up in the build and quality of the device.

2. Pretty bare bones packaging. Just a charger and 1 cable. Charger included is 5V/2A
Sim tray stick also. Manual inside.

3. Colour for gold is more akin to rose gold than "yellow" gold

4. prepare some alchohol wipes or something that can get rid of sticker that is paste on the back of the body. No idea if its same across all devices or what.. but whoever thought of putting a sticker there, what a blunder. left with a minor cosmetic color difference =.=

Functionalities

1. Camera is good for the price. Fast and hdr process pretty fast! A step up from the ones on redmi note. Don't expect miracles for low light though.Definately not gonna beat samsung S7 or apple camera.

2. Screen is 1080p, a step up for me, imo more or less in line with the rest of the phones at this price or more.

3. Snapdragon 650 is fast and quick. 3GB ram certainly works well here, out of box u left about 1.7gb. MIUI is rather heavy but with the soc and 3gb ram, it breeze through easily.
Latest MIUI came loaded out of box.

4. WIFI, GPS all works as expected. fast and smooth.

5. Storage 32gb, out of box u get around 24gb plus.. Not sure if can uninstall other apps to get more out of it.

6. fingerprint sensor certainly is fast. 1 sec to unlock.. not the fastest but certainly acceptable

7. Speakers are slightly louder, would previous stereo front speakers though :)

8. Battery is 47% as of 3:19pm. using included charger to charge it up let's see how long it takes to get to 100%, airplane mode on. Charge to 100% at around 4 40... 1 hr 20 mins to get around 53 percent.. so go figure :)

All in all at this pricepoint, there isn't other compelling alternatives to get :)

More impressions to come

Redmi note 3 32GB, vs Mi Note 64GB, which is better assuming $50 price difference?

Seems the older Mi Note is better in chip, build and mem, but I really like the fingerprint sensor of Note 3.

Sent from Ericsson E50 using GAGT

It really depends on what are your needs. Redmi Note 3 probably has the edge in fingerprint, expandable slot and battery life. Personally at the $50 difference, I'd go for Mi Note instead for it's OIS sensor and build quality with the 2.5d front and slight curved back. It feels much more premium as compared to Redmi Note 3 which has a more flat and rounded feel.
