Obviously there is.... Eg. when collecting/receive if one was to spot any DOA, yellow tint led, invalid IMEI or any defect etc, one can simply request exchange for another set on the spot as the local reseller are always importing in batches.

Whereas direct shipping via forwarder, one will have to arrange returns shipping back to china xiaomi, & rearrange forwarder's reshipping etc.

Anyway, after all these years of buying and seeing things happen in SLS, i would stay clear of them (except for 1 or 2 shops) whenever possible. in fact most of my recent PC hardware are mostly direct purchases whenever possible.

After all, the basic caveat of online purchasing are DOA/ warranty risks. As the typical saying goes, if one cant stomach the risk, then buy local.

a lot of Xiaomi resellers there earning big bucks, Koreans apparently like their products very much like Air Purifier, Powerbank and their phones.
Xiaomi should really consider emerge to South Korea, pose a threat to Sammy and LG there haha
